Introduction
Hi, My name is Thabiso Saka. I work in the Research, Evaluation and Media (REM) of the Institute of Extra Mural Studies (IEMS) of the National University of Lesotho. I joined the Institute as a full-time member in October 2007.
I have taught few courses, viz, News Writing and Reporting, Television Production and Multimedia Applications, and Script Writing in a three-year Diploma in Mass Communication Programme since I joined the Institute.
Educational experience
I have MA in Culture, Communication and Media from the University of Natal, South Africa. I had been part-time teaching at the IEMS for two years before October 2007. I started occassional teaching at primary and secondary school levels, at different times in 1992 and 1994 respectively.
Workshop expectations
I am expecting to acquire professional skills in developing motivational learning and teaching materials out of this workshop. Those skills are needed in
- Writing smart objectives of leassons
- providing self assessment activities
- developing sufficient self-instructional materials
Future plans
