My Learning4Content course home page
My name is Babu Appat. I work in an engineering college. I teach two subjects: English language & literature and Principles of Management. I have a channel on YouTube- www.youtube.com/TheTrainingclasses devoted to teaching. My several blogs will give you some ideas about the ways I believe I can train the teachers to achieve pedagogical excellence. I strayed from topic to topic and didn't stay in one subject or topic. Perhaps it's not advised by experts. I still have no regrets. I believe it helped me to be a good teacher and to satisfy the needs of my student population. I do online teaching too.
I have graduated in English Language and Literature. Then I worked for some time as a pharmaceutical executive. I was promoted to the position of a frontline manager. Then I completed my MA Degree in English language and literature. I have done a Master's in Business Administration too. Then, from IGNOU, I have completed the ACT (a training programme for academic counsellors, as I was teaching Managerial Economics to the MBA students). I have successfully completed a PG course in clinical psychology and then a specialising PG Diploma in the management of learning disabilities in children (PGDMLD) from the University of Calicut.
I am a drummer in a small way. I am a temple artist. I play the temple drums and a wind instrument called Kurunkuzhal. I can play jazz drums and flute, too.
I worked as an academic counsellor at the Calicut study centre of IGNOU, teaching managerial economics and marketing management. I have worked as a teacher in the Science and Humanities department of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), University of Calicut, now. I have trained several teachers, B Ed, M Ed, B Pharm, M Pharm, students and many pharmaceutical executives.
