File:Clinton and President Thein Sein.jpg
Myanmar (also called Burma) is a state undergoing transition. Pictured here is an historic meeting between Myanmar's President Thein Sein and United States Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. In recognition of the transitions that have been occurring, the United States has lifted some of its restrictions on foreign aid to Myanmar.
Overview of the second learning pathway
You should reflect on not only what you have read and discussed thus far, but also apply this knowledge when thinking about the regional futures of Asia and the Pacific.
You might also think about the importance the Asia-Pacific region may hold for your own state, interests or working life.
Finally, you should think about the opportunities the region represents, the challenges facing the region, and what have been the responses by the various governments in the region to these opportunities and challenges.
Again, your study here will be guided by the e-learning activity for this pathway.
