IND/Invasion and the Colonial Frontier Period

This topic investigates Indigenous histories since the time of invasion, when Indigenous land was colonised by Europeans. We begin in 1770 when Englishman Captain James Cook first mapped the east coast, and gives an overview of the period until about 1890.

Objectives

This topic is study towards achieving the following objective:

• demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the diversity of Indigenous Australian cultures both past and present.
